I just noticed that MUC posted a slighter bigger .cab file to download for 'Windows 10 Fall Creators Update and Later Servicing Driver'. Plus, there are now 14.2 MB and 10.2 MB options. If anyone would wish to extract the contents of those smaller files so that we know what they're about, as they might be useful for some of our members here.
Anyone knows a solution for this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WTkoUv6XZVY
Anyway,
how are these new audio drivers? Sound i mean.
the 10.2Mb & 14.2Mb size 8447 downloads are UAD based drivers designed for newer Realtek audio chipsets on motherboards/laptops made probably in late 2017/early 2018.
10.2Mb download has HDXClevo.inf & HDXWHITE.inf files - checked inside 7zip (use this cab pack on certain Clevo based laptops only); the 14.2Mb download, on the other hand, has more INF files, including HDXRT.inf.
there are also two more 8447 downloads using the "classic" [non-UAD] or "legacy" HD audio driver interface (138.4Mb & 139.9Mb). the 139.9Mb cab download has certain Conexant APO DLL files included [perhaps used on some Realtek audio chips on certain HP computers]
I've checked all of these 8447 downloads myself since I have a cable internet connection.
Note to Brink - v6.0.1.8432 32bit & 64bit "generic" non-UAD downloads both available from MS Update Catalog [you can now replace the older 8393 downloads]
edit: check out this interesting post on the Station-Drivers forum - someone mentioned a link to the new Realtek audio control UWP app in the Microsoft Store but it doesn't work on most Realtek audio devices - only on new audio devices using the new Realtek UAD driver.
