Merry Christmas to all here too. :) But is 8323 a true gift?

By the way, searching MUC using "Realtek Semiconductor Corp. sound" doesn't seem to cut it anymore, only up to driver 8311 is listed for some reason. But if substitute 'sound' with 'media' it will list all the current ones. So may want to update that link at the top of the first post page.

    Cheers!

For me build 8323 is a good sounding driver. Having said that I'll probably be back on build 8279 in a week :)

Why? I'm confused as to why you always go back to that driver even if newer drivers sound good. I personally wouldn't suggest constantly rolling back drivers by the way. Doing that just wastes hard drive cycles in my opinion, and if a newer driver updated crucial config files (e.g. switching to a newer configuration style/format), rolling back to an older driver (like .8279) could screw up your settings and I don't think re-configuring settings would be the best way to spend time if that were to actually occur.

It already is supported and on MUC.

There's good and then there's better. To my ears version 8279 is still the best sounding to date. Systems and ears differ so YMMV.
