Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

I was having issues, with what I thought was related to my Realtek Audio Driver.
However, I also had the Nvidia Audio Driver installed.
The issues I was having stopped, after uninstalling the Nvidia Audio Driver.

This audio issue, had been present on my system for a long time.
I was installing any and every Realtek Driver that I could find,
in hopes of fixing the constant intermittent 1-2 second muting issue I was experiencing.
I didn't think having both drivers installed, had any effect on the other, but as stated above.
The muting issues is now gone.
Once I uninstalled the Nvidia Audio Driver.

I don't even use my video card's audio.
So this driver isn't really needed anyway.
I've been racking my brain, over this issue for quite a while.
Only to have the solution staring me in the face the entire time.

Yes! I'm very happy about this.

It seems to have taken away the issue I was having.
So far, the intermittent audio muting has not resurfaced.

I was beginning to suspect, that my motherboard was responsible and this very well might be the case.
Even so, I didn't think the Nvidia Audio Driver would have had anything to do with this.
The issue was system wide.
Whenever audio was being played, or present in any way, shape, or form. This "intermittent muting" would occur, without falter.
I have my fingers crossed, that this issue won't rear it's ugly head again.

I also hope that this will help others as well.

Small find:
The new UWP app has an additional overlay next to the volume whenever it detects an app that can use sound. It's not that good at it though; Edge or Vivaldi didn't get "detected". Groove Music and the Audio Console app itself did.
Didn't notice it earlier, I performed a fresh RS4 install today and saw this. Seems a pretty useless addition, but if improved and made customizable, it can be useful.

I disagree totally with that. Just got back from a few days away and saw build 8451 had been released so I gave it a try. IMHO 8447 is head and shoulders above 8451. I find 8451 has an overblown bass and a midrange that is bordering on being distorted.

I kind of liked 8451 more than 8447. I'm on an ALC_0283 using 3.5mm stereo output and my hearing is primarily in the midrange.

I did notice the bass was a little heavier, but it wasn't bad. Midrange being higher is good for my hearing because I used to use the "live" preset with older drivers to boost the vocal range.

On my PC, there's no discernible difference between these drivers - and I use Yamaha HS80M monitors and the room has decent acoustic isolation. This would be on default settings, I guess it's a possibility that different presets can change from driver to driver, or how the equalizer works.

Let's not forget that Realtek has a number of different chips out there.
What really surprises me with such high negative feedback designs is that one can still discern audible differences.
These are pretty basic opamps after all. Amazing really.

The Realtek .cab installation file doesn't work. Windows just says "the best drivers are already installed".

My current audio device is just listed as a High Definition Audio Device and the driver date is from April, 2018. Should I uninstall and reinstall with this .cab file? I do not have the Realtek audio center installed right now.

Go to Device Manager, open the Audio device and select 'Update driver'. Then do not select 'Automatic', but the second option, to look for a driver in your pc. Navigate to the folder where you have unpacked the cab file. The new driver will be installed.
