Thank you DooGie. First post updated.
I should have added that this build appears to be 64 bit only.

Thought it was 32bit too as it still has the Vista folder which is 32bit, the Vista64 is 64 bit.

Almighty1 i don't have any issues anymore i sorted them out it was something stuck in the windows driver foundation area, i went device manager and had 2 locations with realtek audio it was bizarre, i uninstalled from there , then reinstalled them and all is well no more issues. on a side note the last ones i got work great and i even updated them with the ones from MS update catalog, all is well. i think since they work good now i'm leaving these installed.

Just noticed Realtek have updated yet again.

Build 7667 WHQL released today 20/11/15

    ftp://ftp3.realtek.com.tw/Realtek/Ge..._Win7_WHQL.zip

    username : spcust
    password : hwwk758z

Can't pass any comment on these as I haven't tried them out yet.

As an aside, it's about time Realtek started issuing a change log with their drivers.
Don't be in a big hurry for this. The realtek control panel will not open in this version. Rolling back to known good configuration.

    Not on my system lopedoggie.

Before uninstalling the previous build I ran the Registry Cleaner module in CCleaner which found 2 entries to delete, both of these relating to files I'd previously deleted so I knew they were safe to delete.
Next I uninstalled the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver using Programs and Features. Rebooted then ran the Registry Cleaner again. It found 148 invalid entries all of which were related to Realtek HD Drivers. It just goes to show what I've hinted at in some previous posts, ie Realtek HD drivers don't uninstall cleanly.

Next ran the setup for build 7667, rebooted and all was fine. The Realtek HD Audio Manager was running in the tray and the sound was ok.

One warning though, if you don't know what a registry entry is referring to then don't mess with it.

Did anybody try to uninstall Realtek drivers with Revo Uninstaller with cleanup settings at highest ? It should get rid of those tails in the registry.

No i've not tried that yet Mike, it could be a nice solution though and would save some time.
Does the frerversion work as well as the paid for version?

free version is 32 bit only full version is 64 bit and 32 bit programs i have the full version and is always what i do when uninstalling drivers, but be a ware that using the high setting make sure you go threw them one bye one as it can potentially remove stuff that belongs to the system.

It does everything but I'm not sure about 64bit programs. There's a trial period for Pro version that does do 64bit programs for sure.
