There are no instructions on the first page of this thread for extracting the .cab file to a folder. Only instructions for using DISM. When you got to the screen for browsing to the folder and chose it, did you click NEXT or click "Let me choose....." ?

That is using the DISM command. It has caused issues for some with an error (2) stating the file could not be found. If your driver version screen in Device Manager does NOT say this, you have not updated it.

@Showbiz ... I'm going to have to leave soon. Can you verify what version of the driver you have, please?

@Showbiz, I have to go. If you don't have the version in this picture, you are not updated. Go back and extract the .cab file that you downloaded into a folder, using 7-Zip or WinRAR or any tool that will extract it. Use the method to browse to the folder you extracted, and click NEXT. Sorry, I have to leave. Good luck. TC

It means the driver on Dell's site was installed after all. Could you show us the Hardware Ids of this device ? Just go to details and choose Hardware Ids in the dropdown menu.

It's weird because I thought I'd uninstalled it from the programs menu AND through device manager.. Same with my video card which says it's up to date even though I'm not so sure.

@Showbiz, when you uninstalled your driver, did you also check this box to delete the driver software from your machine? Are you running a Dell XPS 13? You have no system specs so it's hard to know what we're dealing with. For some reason, this new driver, may not be compatible with your machine.
