Mine is ASUS S400 CA. I have replaced HDD with Samsung 850evo SSD while windows 8.1 was running. AfterAU, I have this problem of AHCI.

Perhaps just don't use Magician instead until they fix it? it is not needed....
No, you misunderstand. Magician is showing a symptom of some other problem in communication with this drive on win10 1607. Attempting to enable "encrypted drive" by enabling bitlocker and you will put the system in a state where bitlocker is totally broken. The control panel won't even open and the manage-bde shows no drives even eligible for bitlocker.

Exact same steps with exact same drive on Windows 10 1511 (or win 8) and you get a perfect "hardware encrypted" drive with bitlocker.

So not just magician, but actually the firmware in the drive, is having all kinds of problems with win10 1607, the July anniversary update.

    OK......

I don't use Bitlocker now after issues with it on my Surface3 ( M$ replaced it cos even their techs couldn't fix it) , neither do I use the Samsung Magician SW as I Use Raid on my Desktops and it is Useless , and AFAIK Rapid Mode is a BenchMark Gimmick Mode only ?

Certainly My friend wishes he hadn't use Magician on his Laptop , me either actually, since I was the one who got to reinstall everything for him :).

850 Evo's are fast enough anyway , so I personally feel Magician is not worth the problems , I have experienced.
