Version 1607 added a second printer

Printer drivers must have been added during the Aug upgrade. I have an additional Brother printer on both desktop and laptop. On the desktop is a multi feature laser and on the laptop it is an inkjet.
The laptop had the inkjet become the default printer I discovered when I attempted to print and no result. Checking devices and printers I discovered the new addition and reset the original Brother Laser to be the default.
This additional printer is not in the device manager print queues or printers list.
The printer is labelled as Brother Color Leg Type 1 Class Driver which came along with the new addition
The original printer is Brother HL-3040CN series printer and it is listed in the Device Manager queues but not in the Printers
The Desktop additional printer is an MFC-J450DW ( a multi feature laser) but it is listed in the device manager as the Leg type 1 class driver for its name.
The laptop additional printer is an inkjet type so each machine received a unique, additional printer.
My HL-3040CN is plugged into the Linksky router with its own IP adddress and both computers can access it.
The printer likely was idle when the upgrade install was done with an .iso but I had the internet off in the laptop. I did not disconnect the internet with the desktop for the .iso install. The additional update was done later to get to the .10
I do not have the brand printer software( for all the extras) installed on either machine.

Do I remove this printer through the device manager although its specific name is not listed there -its the type 1 class driver as the printer name or do I right click in the Devices and Printers and remove this device?
Or do I just ignore it since it is not active now that I have done the assign default to the original printer?

    I'd ignore it, mostly.

I have had printer driver flakiness since Windows 8. For example: I have an old Brother HL-5150D. It doesn't show up in Devices. There are two copies of the drivers for it installed. I have to use the second instance. (The printer is so old that it includes both parallel port and USB interfaces.)

<grin> THAT has me recall the phrase 'turn the radio up' when a clattering noise is reported to the mechanic.
So ....another item on the 'ignore list'....to join odd reports in the Event viewer that eventually go away.
I thought I had put the preference choice in to NOT update drivers but I guess that was ignored too <LOL!>
