I noted that he Intel RST, Version: 14.6.0.1029 (Latest), does not work with window 10, during downloading it shows error telling that it is not compatible with the system....... If I knew I would face such problems, I would never upgrade to Window 10, unfortunately also I have lost the Window 7.

Installed for me with no problem, so it works with Windows 10. Maybe it is your hardware it isn't compatible with.

    Hi,

Maybe it is your hardware it isn't compatible with.
LOL. Nah, I doubt it. That model isn't all that old. Maybe he downloaded the wrong version like x64 iso x86 or something.
However, I've no idea if installing RST brings a speed benefit if you can't use say a raid 0 array along with it.
Maybe he can just update the MS AHCI drivers with the ones Intel's providing along their RST software.

    Cheers,

Yeah I was thinking that too.

Rst performed better than Windows ahci in Windows 7 in raid or ahci mode. Same raid in windows 10 doesn't perform as well as in 7 with rst so maybe no benifit in ahci mode. I can't compare that now though.

    Hi,

One can't help but wonder why some manufacturers (mostly those tied to Intel) keep on pushing Intel software for systems that don't really support it let alone benefit from it.

Naturally you won't find any explanation for this on their support sites as there quite likely isn't any anyways.......

In the mean time I ran some benchmarking software on a Fujitsu Esprimo P420 I happen to have and as far as diskbenchmarks can be trusted I can't seem to measure any performance difference between the MS AHCI drivers that ship with Win10 or Intel's latest offerings extracted from their latest Rapid Storage software. At least not on systems that don't support RAID in bios that is.

Funny how quite a lot of these MS drivers that ship with Win 10 will be turning 10 years old next year....

    Cheers,

the issue is that it "USED" to work and now it does not. on windows 7,8 & 8.1 it worked and i haven't used any other MSSD. i havent tried again lately but i feel ill be waisting my time.
right now ExpressCache is working bit i would like RST

    Cheers,

Thats exactly right , i did the same with the latest Intel Rapid storage drivers and then just tested with the MS version/ AHCI enabled and i have noticed no differences between them. Non Raid, and yes, lots of these drivers show 2006 , they do work surprisingly well though.

Guys, I'm on an AsRock z68 extreme4 gen3. The platform is too "old" to support new drivers made for windows 10, so I installed the ones that worked on Windows 7 and 8, to enable RST. The issue is the following. For some reason, enabling RST doesn't give ANY performance boost, the hard drive is even a little faster when using AHCI with no RST. The RST works on RAID only, if I'm right. Can you give some suggestion, please? Thanks in advance. :)
