    Little to no audio

Have just got my Asus G750JM ROG up to spec with 10 except that it will npot play any audio through my Logitec Z313 system. Have tried all the usaul things but the list of drivers fpr 10 OS does not have any audio ones.

Now this system was flawless running 7 as there was only one driver - Realtek and now I am really stuck.

The Logitec is playing perfectly though the old laptop with 7 running so any ideas please??

Try downloading the latest realtek driver for your laptop.

    Here:

Yep am downloading that driver as I type hopefully it works with 10 being the 7 OS one

Yes mate it is one heck of a laptop even though she is nearly two years old although I do miss my Ivy and Sandy Bridge desktop builds it is a good substitute for them, and so easy to work on

No go mate I have also tried the Intel lynx point pch high definition audio controller driver but it is either hard to get (usually a mirror site which I don't like) and the Intel site have no listing for it.

Anyone got any ideas before I have to revert to 7 as I have tried the driver, chkdsk and sfc and the CBS logs have stuff in them but I have no idea what they are. I did ask once before and Thrash Zone and other said there were a lot of stuff to go through.

I can put back 7 and try the driver or indeed just the sound to see what the go is but after setting this machine up for 10 I didn't want to go and reinstall all over again.

    CBS logs (2nd lot) attached.

Ok Derek am having all sorts of problems the ISO download I was doing got to 29% and then Edge just froze so I am back to square one.

Now the system is telling me the files I made for you are invalid so I don't know but have a horrid feeling I am goig to have to reinstall. The ISO download failed too as a by the by.

Hmm. Is it a problem with the Laptop port itself? Or maybe you just simply have the volume set down on your speaker? Another possibility is that it isn't really compatible with Windows 10 yet. Here, try this when you have your pc connected to the system.

Step 1: Right-Click the audio button usually found in the bottom right corner or in the drop down/up menu near the clock.
Step 2: Click "Open Volume Mixer"
Step 3: Check for stereos and see if the volume is down.

I doubt you haven't done this but restart the PC with the speakers in and the speakers out.

    If not, try audio troubleshooting.

Step 1: In the windows search, (press windows logo to get to it) Type in Audio
Step 2: Click "Manage audio devices"
Step 3: Right-Click on the speakers connected and click test. That should show if both stereo channels work.
Step 4: Then, right click again and click "Configure"
Step 5: Make sure you're in stereo and test again.
Step 6: Right click on the connected speaker system AGAIN and click properties from the drop down box.
Step 7: Click on levels in the tab section and check the volume settings.

    I hope this helped :)

Have just found the problem > Control Panel > Sound > Playback and it had the monitor set as the default audio device.

Now this leaves me wondering why after using this machine for so long the default came to be changed??

Mind you Derek I would still appreciate you thoughts on the files I sent (edit) because there were corrupt files mentioned in the sfc and chkdsk .

Teen Techie you got m on the right track with your last post too - thanks:)
