    Canon Pixma Pro9000

I can't get Win10 build 10049 to install my Canon Pro9000 Inkjet printer. It is connected by USB and when I turn it on, an icon appears in the taskbar briefly and then disappears. Devices show Inkjet printer but no drivers available. I downloaded latest driver from Canon site and tried again following their instructions. No joy! My Lexmark 250dn installed automatically and so did my Canoscan 8800F as well as my Canon MP490 with no problems. Help please. I have also tried compatibility mode using Win8.1 and Win7Pro.

I had this happen with my old HP Officejet printer when I was testing Windows 8. I couldn't get it to work until HP released drivers for Windows 8.

I saw that Canon has drivers for your printer up to Windows 8.1. Try them. If didn't work, then probably you must wait for a Windows 10 release.

After updating to build 10061, the Canon Pro9000 shows up.

I Have a Canoscan 8800F too, and it doesn't work with Windows 10. I can't find a driver. How did you do it ?
I tried different drivers without result.

Canon has taken the opportunity of 10 to ditch support for a lot of "old" printers. I was lucky the MS10 driver for my one does all I need of it, basic printing, while using a newer Epson for color work.

On there web site they say about the 9000

Canon will not issue drivers for this model to support the Windows 10 operating system, the Windows 7 or Windows 8 drivers should function in the Windows 10 environment with some limitations which are currently unknown to Canon.

The driver version that is listed in my Windows 10 for it is 13.0.5.56 dated 5/7/2009 . I don't remember which build I was on when I installed it. I just now went to the Canon site and the driver listed ( Windows 8.1) is 8800fwi641305ej.exe. dated 02/08/14. My Canon Pro9000 installed in build 10061 and I am now on build 10532.
