Chipset Drivers for AMD based system, Model is Asus M52BC_M32BC

    Hi All

Model shows up like that in all software programs, unknown motherboard inside here, using Standard Sata AHCI controller right now, planning on clean Windows 10 Pro Install when I get the money to purchase Windows 10 Home to Pro upgrade, but I thought i'd start gathering drivers now, and save them til I'm ready to do the clean install.

Do I use the Chipset Drivers from AMD's Site?

    or Asus site?

And will it interfere with sleep mode if I do install the chipset drivers with the clean install? right now it sleeps perfectly

Shown i believe as 2 different model of ASUS PC.

    M32BC
    https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M32BC/

    M52BC

Yes you are always better off getting system drivers from the manufacturer's site. Since not custom built. If it was custom built you would go by the motherboard's model for certain drivers.

Should not interfere with sleep. SATA AHCI Controller drivers are different then Chipset drivers and usually installed during the install of Windows 10. Let me know the exact model, but i do see AMD chipset drivers there for both models.

Always get the drivers for an OEM computer from that OEM's site, they are allowed to modify as needed. Also, AMD probably didn't make the motherboard, don't think they make their own boards.

Chipset drivers can be installed after the operating system as many other important drivers.
It is a ASUS Motherboard for sure.

    Storage
    1863GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA200 (SATA) 36 °C

I think the board might be used on both systems. I can double check for you if i see it otherwise open the case and look at the board, but what is the exact model number of your desktop PC ?

Shows on the case M32BC01 near the serial number, so i'm assuming that is the actual model number of the system, it's an AMD FX Eight Core System 3.40ghz/4.3 turbo, bought off Newegg back in January.

System bought in January from Newegg

    ASUS Desktop Computer M32BC-B01 AMD FX-Series FX-8310 8 GB DDR3 2 TB HDD AMD Radeon R7 240 2 GB Windows 8.1 64-Bit - Newegg.com

VIdeo drivers I update directly from AMD's site, is that not the proper way to do things with OEM System?

This is one of the PC i listed before when i received two different models i felt. Here is the correct one from ASUS.
    https://www.asus.com/us/Tower-PCs/M3...Desk_Download/

Chipset drivers are here and should update the Lan drivers and Realtek drivers as the rest are utilities not as important.
As long as you make sure you are getting the right AMD Graphics model drivers from AMD's site that is o.k. to get those there, i see the one at ASUS's site but it's back from July 2015. Just compare the version and dates from ASUS to AMD site i am sure your fine with AMD's site for those.

I do not see SATA AHCI Drivers on ASUS's site you can double check Device Manager go to it and look under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controllers and open it make sure it says SATA AHCI they may have been updated already through Windows or included in other drivers. Did you ever get a CD with the PC for drivers ?

Just Outdated Video Driver CD, No other drivers on it, Will Get the Chipset drivers in when I do the Windows 10 Pro Clean Install soon, as that probably will be the best time to. yes updated the sound drivers already, and Lan not too long ago, I check site off and on to see if anything new, if there is, then I update whatever item it is

In a Week or Two hopefully can afford Windows 10 Home to Pro upgrade, old PC had 8.1 Pro with Media Center when I upgraded that one to 10 on July 29th 2015, didn't think could transfer the old 8.0/8.1 key to this new system, so gave old PC to Mom with a clean reset of that system, This one came from Newegg with 8.1 Core on it, so got Windows 10 Home when I upgraded, but it's fine, as will just pay the Windows store $99.99 plus tax fee and get it lol
