The next step will be to check for corrupt or missing system files.

    The short version is:

At an Admin command prompt, type SFC /SCANNOW, and press enter. It will run for about 10 minutes, or less. Just let it go. It will say either No errors found, errors found and fixed, or errors found and could not fix. The results of this scan will determine what the next steps are.

A tutorial explaining this is here, option #3. SFC Command - Run in Windows 10 - Windows 10 Forums

Regardless of the results listed, please copy this and run it in an Admin Command prompt:

    findstr /c:"[SR]" %windir%\Logs\CBS\CBS.log >"%userprofile%\Desktop\sfcdetails.txt"

The file will be on your desktop screen. Zip the file (right click, send to compressed folder), and post it here.

I'm posting this now in case the Defrag finishes, no one is immediately available, and you want to keep going.
