Bootcamp Windows 10 Thunderbolt not reconized

I just rebooted my MacBook pro retina and reinstalled windows 10 via bootcamp. I have an external ssd and I usually rely on thunderbolt. It also have usb 3. Problem is, thunderbolt is not being recognized in windows 10. It works with the os x partition. So I am trying to find the correct driver to get it working. I formatted the drive to exFat to work with both os x and windows 10. I want to transfer files back and forth like music, photos and apps. Anyways, my main problem is trying to get the thunderbolt drive to work. My external drive lights up but nothing picks up on windows. Any help I can get? Thanks in advance.

A fast Bing search showed this on first page: Download Thunderbolt: Intel Thunderbolt driver (Windows 8 driver should also work in Windows 10, although I'm not sure if this driver works on your Mac).

It also seems important to disable Windows Fast Boot: Boot Camp: Thunderbolt devices not recognized after Windows 8 upgrade - Apple Support

I tested the driver download, extracted the compressed zip without issues:

    Launched the installer, no issues:

Ok, so installation went successfully. I forgot to unzip. I'm such a scrub. lol
Anyways, but my device is still not being picked up on windows...I tried connection with usb 3 and it got picked up in connection. But not thunderbolt...its strange because it works with my mac os x partition...hmmm

    *UPDATE*
Strange. It got picked up after restarting the computer only while it is plugged in. No notifications or anything. I guess this will do then. If I were to plug it back in, nothing. Oh well. Thanks though. ^_^

Having the same problem, so thanks for the idea to plug in the drive before booting.
I dug a little deeper and I think that Win in bootcamp sees thunderbolt as PCIe, so a thunderbolt drive would not work like an external drive; it would work like a internal drive on a secondary bus.
So the behavior of not seeing the drive if its not attached upon boot makes sense.
Not very convenient, but it makes sense.
