How do I know if I need to update to these drivers

Windows 10 and Uncle MS take care of (most of) your drivers automatically. Not some external devices of course.

If you install drivers different to Uncle MS's list he will likely replace them.

Basic rule: don't fix what isn't broken. Unless there is specific justification and all is working, leave well alone. To keep a different version of driver to what Uncle MS prescribes you need to take special action (see Tutorial section).
