    Windows 10 upgrade

I have a laptop that was upgraded from Windows 7 to windows 10 (Free). I checked the drivers afterwards and noticed they were the Windows 7 drivers. The funny thing is the laptop is functioning with no problems. My question is should I get the Windows 10 drivers from the manufacturers, remove the 7 drivers and install the 10 drivers? This makes sense to me but I am new to this 10 thing. Thought someone may have already been down this road.

If it is working fine, then there is nothing to worry about. Windows 10 will only upgrade the drivers if it needs to. Otherwise it keeps the original drivers that were previously installed before the upgrade.

I wouldn't worry about it as long as everything is working. You might end up seeing that the maker of the Notebook/Laptop doesn't have actual Win10-compatible drivers for it yet. Or in other words, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking the same thing, if its working fine leave it alone. The manufacture does have 10 drivers but since its working I will leave well enough alone. Again thanks for the quick response.

The issue is that the mfg drivers are just tested and marked that they work with Windows 10. They are still the same driver that is installed. Leave alone and let it work as is.
