Vaibhavb: If yours is the same issue ive seen recently I fixed 2 computers (1) where the mouse pointer would constantly flicker, and (2) the other one the screen would flicker every couple of seconds.

I fixed both of them by going into windows recovery and doing a repair install, letting it remove everything and basically starting over, once that was done and booted back to desktop, no more flickering

    Hi there
Probable cause is you've set the frequency too low in the Monitor / adapters "advanced settings".
People don't often realize it but these also need to be set correctly for modern flat (LCD etc) monitors too. However on older CRT's (is anybody still using those !!) it's absolutely imperative to select the correct frequency. Actually if you still use any of those old clunkers - get rid as LCD monitors are cheap and you will easily save the cost with significantly reduced power consumption.

You should be able to get to the advanced settings in the adapter control. display-->advanced settings.

It should look something like this -- your driver will be different but the screen / options will be similar.
