    Opening E drive

When I put a CD or DVD I want to look at in the E drive, I'm not seeing any way to open it. What do I need to look at to do that? Shouldn't there be some sort of icon or notification?

hello, right click the windows icon ,lower left corner,,go to control panel ,open auto play and depending on whats on the disk ,choose what and how you want it to open ,,,windows 10 has no app to play dvd video, you will need to download and install a 3rd party app, my choice is VLC media player.

Or navigate to the DVD drive in This PC and click on the file you want to open/play. The DVD should Autorun the option you have set if correctly configured.

what its set at depends whats on the disk, why not tell us what is on the disk you want to open .like in the picture open the box and pic an app if any listed to open the disk. if you don't have an app to open it none will be listed .

I managed to get open the CD I had trouble with once, but there was a lot of noise with it. When I tried to open the E drive after that, it wouldn't open. Any ideas on what might have happened? The CD is a picture file, atho' there may be some videos on it.
