    Monitor Going Bad?

I have an LG E2250 monitor and when I start games that use d3d the screen turns black, if I turn the monitor off, then on, the problems goes away until the next time I run a game. Everything else is working fine, no other issues, tried a variety of Nvidia drivers on my gtx750ti and the results are always the same. Once the game starts there are no issues with the monitor it just happens a few minutes after the monitor is turned on. I suspect that if it was the video card the games would not run at all, as opposed to the monitor just going black.. I re-installed NVidia drivers using DDU, did a sfc /scannow with no errors. Windows 10 is updated. Pulled the video card and re-installed, tried a different monitor cable but still the same. I do not have a spare monitor I can test it on but to me it appears to be related to the monitors ability to change modes. Games are run using the monitors native res of 1920 x 1080, full-screen or windowed the issue remains. Anyone experienced anything similar?

Well, I borrowed a monitor for testing purposes and the problem went away. Was saving to upgrade my video card but it looks like a new monitor first!
