Auto play on inserting a dvd or cd

    Good evening to all.
I decided to make an image of my C drive on my windows ten spare laptop,Using the free Macrium Reflect software.
followed all the info on how to proceed with the software,It all went well I burnt the recovery disc as directed.

Now this is where things got a bit wrong,I went to place the recovery disc into the drive and of course started the laptop up then when it came to press on the respective key on the keyboard,The next thing I saw was that the optical drive had opened the recovery disc up and all the contents were showing in the file explorer.
How do I overcome this problem has it got something to do with the settings in the auto run not to open the disc.

    Any help Please.

    Hi.
Update to my posting I did over come that auto run.
Now when I insert the recovery disc in the optical and connect the external drive that I have made the backup of windows 10.
Start machine up to test the recovery disc yes it starts and upon pressing F9 on keyboard to access the recovery disc it comes to the stage tap any key to run from CD Or DVD when I select any key it takes me straight to me windows.
Shouldn't that option take me to the external drive that the backup is made.????
    Help Please.

    Hi,

You mean you wanted it to boot from the rescue media but it didn't and explorer had expanded the content of it ?
Or you just want to leave that disc in the player and not be bothered by Windows's action ?

Either way you can turn off auto play for the optical drive by going to control planning right clicking the start menu button.
Then the "Hardware and Sound" icon, "Auto Play" followed by DVDs. There you set the action property you want.

Now if your rescue media doesn't boot you should let Macrium make you a new one and test it.

    Cheers,
