Does it show up in Disk Management? If so, can you assign a driver letter to it?

It shows up on devices and printers and the 2 downloads from support menu in that link. In Disk Management I have Disk 0 Disk 1 and cd-Rom 0
Also shows as being connected in connected devices. Downloaded over metred connections was off turned that on still can't see it.

Disk 1 is almost certainly your external drive if you have no other HDD. Can you tell from the size of disk1 if it is a match? Does it have a drive letter assigned to it?

I took it back mate and got my money back. Getting new one tomorrow. Basically, do I have to format any hard drive before I use it? Because I have not done it on my other 2 drives and they are seagates too. And I have no problem with them. Thanks for the help.

No problem. These external drives are usually pre-formatted for Windows as you have found before, however, check on the information supplied with your new drive - it should tell you if you need to do anything.

Thank you mate. It's only thing was to do was to register it and I couldn't be bothered doing it. Now, I am scared the same thing will happen tomorrow lol.
