    Can't run Devicve Manager in Windows 10


    For some reason I can't run the Device Manager. After a couple of minutes I get a "did not respond in a timely fashion" message :

    The PC otherwise runs fine. Any thoughts??? Thanks

    Further to my first post also Task Manager doesn't run:

    Press Win+X, select to open a Command Prompt (Admin), then type these commands to fix any issues. Press ENTER at the end to execute:

    Dism.exe/online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup

    sfc/scannow

    Dism/Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

    sfc/scannow

    You can also copy each command, then right-click on the Command Prompt window title and select Edit->Paste.

    If one of the commands doesn't complete successfully you need further troubleshooting.
