Is there a way to check notebook driver campatibility before install?

Hi, I have a notebook with nVidia 860m video card. There is GeForce Experience preinstalled and it recommends to update driver. Problem is: Win 10 does not recognize 860m after rebooting my system when I install nVidia's fresh drivers. I don't understand that sort of problem because I always updated drivers on win 8.1 without any problem, win 10 is updated regularly. So if I am interested to install recommended updates, is there a way to understand will it work or not after reboot without actual install? I tried to installed drives via devices manager, it is installed without any problems but does not work after reboot.

nVidia supports 800M series in Windows 10. The problem is that Windows 10 Setup ignores any installed driver and replaces all drivers with generic Microsoft from Windows Update. This includes the chipset drivers making some devices incompatible. To fix that, upgrade to 10 first, then reinstall all your drivers starting from the chipset driver. You can then run a tool to hide any driver updates to prevent them being replaced again.

EDIT: I corrected the link. :)

Thanks for suggestion, but it is unclear, what's the point of this tool? As I understand it is made for creating win10 install/update images. I already installed win 10 via windows update, all available updates are installed. Do I need to reinstall my system by image from this tool? I thought there is more simple way, perhaps by disabling some services for example, or even by disabling some registry key...

The tools searches for available updates and gives you a list where you can hide any update you think can cause problems, like driver updates. Hiding it will not install next time Windows Update runs automatically or you manually search for updates. If you hide a harmless update by accident, use the tool to unhide it so it will install next time.

Excuse me but it seems there is misunderstanding. I only found appcleaner in this tool set which allows basic system management and services control. It is unclear how to use that thing and it's capability, it's main purpose, all its manuals says it must prepare windows image to install and there are tools to make it correct. In my case problem is windows 10 does not substitute nvidia drivers by system drives it simply marked a devices as unknown after reboot. Nothing could help to install any sort of drivers after that, nvidia installer and system installer which is supposed to work by Microsoft server with their drivers. All they break with error 28 (it seems I remember there was also a code 0x80070002 ). That is why I had to reinstall my system and that is why I don't want to experiment by another attempt to install drivers

I hope I didn't give you any wrong link. I was talking about the wushowhide.diagcab tool that allows you to hide specific updates to avoid them being installed. Look this link.

So I only need to 'hide' updates for 'nVidia graphic adapter WDDM 1.1' and then install nvidia drivers and they will work fine?

P.S. yes there was wrong link

Yes, hide any update you feel it could cause problems. Run the tool every few days to block newer driver updates, if any. Sorry about the error. I corrected the link for other viewers.

Thanks for suggestion, as I understand it is not permanent solution, and that may stop working, when Microsoft decides they made good system which works fine. Is my situation when nvidia device was marked as unknown and there was no way to install any sort of drivers typical problem? I really don't want to reinstall my system again, because of Microsoft (TM) restore system does not work in win 10, and takes about hour to do something and then it says 'sorry I could not restore system bla bla bla'...

An unknown nVidia device could be HDMI audio or some other component. Once you install latest official driver it should fix. Sometimes unknown devices are leftovers. Delete them from Device Manager and may not appear again.
