Try the first driver on this page now, use the instruction in the readme file for installation, be 2 folder after you extract x64 x32 use whichever your system is. http://us.msi.com/support/mb/X58_ProE.html#down-driver&Win7%2064

Either this or right click hidden IDE let it search online for the driver update.
I probably would of tried regedit from Brink, seen that tutorial before and online searches, but already there.

Showing hidden devices now, no change for me. How many drives are hooked up ? Matters i believe on how many ports on board or different types of ports, this i am not too knowledgeable on how this goes

I was able to update the driver and now it no longer appears as a Thumb Drive in my tray. Thank you so much for your help.

What did you mean as a thumb drive in the tray ? Can you show me your device manager open to IDE ATA/ATPI Controller now without show hidden device checked in View in the Menu

If it is OK I would like to mark this as solved. I thanks all of you for your help. I think if I read the tutorial first, this would have been easier.
