Wow, that would be good, I can keep my HDD C:\ and also have the same on the SSD. I have an Orico drive switcher installed so I can change drives at the push of a button. It says HDD on the face plate but it is just an inline switch so the SSD drive should be fine. I am backing up my drive with MR at the moment so I will have an image copy if things go pear shaped! When MR is finished I will check out Disk Genius.
    Thank you.

    Edit.
As I have installed some data on the SSD, and I have no idea what, I assume I will need to format the drive prior to copying the HHD.
Am I able just to copy across and the SSD will then be bootable? Do I need to format it or not?

Sorry to keep asking questions, and I really do appreciate your help. But after me spending days on this I am sure my wife will be delighted to see me again, well maybe.....

If you clone/copy the drive c you caould disk signature fault as you have to drive that winows sees as the same drive you could format and use as data

Just delete the partitions that are already on the target disk before starting the os migration.

Before I retired I did a lot of work on my PC at home. Now I don't, so no need for so much data to keep track of.
Last night I removed 3 HDD and the SSD, booted the PC and the tortoise was running on steroids. In other words the PC booted as it used to do. Not exactly supersonic but not 14 minutes as it was taking!
I have a lot backed up on 2 USB Passport drives and the MR Drive Image on another USB Passport. So, I am wondering why not forget the HDD other than the current C:\ drive and use external USB drives for everything else? I can buy more USB drives and just plug them in. Just a thought on that, can you use a 4 way USB hub/adapter with 4 USB drives without conflict ,I assume you could not have one doing a backup at the same time another drive was in use?
What, if any are the pitfalls of that suggestion. I would save me a lot of problems, the wife would be delighted and I would not need to harass you very helpful guy's.

I reckon I could uninstall a lot of old programs I no longer use and out of date works data that I should have deleted years ago.

Last point, My c:\ has a capacity of 1 TB my SSD is only 500gb so a size 10 foot would not fit in a size 5 shoe. The other way round would be okay.
