Installing AMD Drivers....

Tx for the suggestion/link Mark. I just checked my updates, switched over to slow ring just for the heck of it. and there was an AMD 3000 driver update. It installed and restored my dual monitors. What a relief that was, have been chasing this problem for two weeks. Puzzling since10130 upgrade worked and then when I did a clean install, it did not. MS must have realized the problem thru several feed backs or that was a bug they had to fix from the 10130 initial release.?

Where would this driver be stored on the Hd. Was wanting to make a copy in case this happens again on next build. It should be an .inf file and would be all that I need??

Don't know where it is stored, but I've used an app called Driver Backup to make backups of drivers -- which can then be used to reinstall those same drivers.

Tx again, found the driver backup program, saved a copy on a flash drive for future ref if needed. :)

Just thought I'd mention that AMD has since released a new driver for Win10--15.200.1023.5. It's only available through WU--and I have to say that finally AMD is putting out a very stable WDDM 2.0 driver! The Witcher 3 runs wonderfully under Win10 at the moment--and it's because of this driver. It was released a few days ago so by now everyone should have seen it, hopefully...

Can you correct OverScan issue? if so how without the AMD Control panel?

With these drivers the CCC that comes along with them through Windows Update (2015.0522.1239.20905) installs and stays up...Rock solid...these haven't crashed once (nor has the CCC.)

Thanks for the info. When in use this I don't see CCC. I right click desktop and nothing nor in the app menu?

When you use....what? The version number above..2015.0522.1239.20905...is for the CCC--the Catalyst Control Center. You can't "use this" unless the CCC is up & running...

I'd suggest that you open programs & features and remove any AMD installed programs you see there...click "express uninstall" when asked...and then reboot when asked...make sure your Windows Update is running normally--and when the 15.200.1023.5 Catalysts are installed through Windows update, the 2015.0522.1239.20905 CCC should install at the same time. When you believe your new AMD drivers have installed, give it a few more minutes just to be sure and then reboot your system when asked, or even if you aren't asked to reboot. You should be running the newest drivers & CCC after that--if not then I can't speak for what might be preventing you from installing them--could be an array of things.

Also, you "System Specs" aren't very informative... Check out mine for tips on how yours should be filled out--knowing your hardware is absolutely necessary for troubleshooting any problems you may have. Good Luck!
