    LOL. Remember 1.4MB floppy discs?
Yes, children, that's one point four megabytes.
But from which tiny plastic disk one could play most excellent entire Commodore 64 games, like Blue Angel and Power Styxx.
    And umpteen more.
(Actually, they might have been Amiga games...I need a ram pill. Or a USB port in my bonce )

My first PC had one 360K floppy drive. I then added a second 360K floppy drive and I thought that was amazing at the time because I could copy a whole floppy disk without swapping the source and destination disks over and over to make a copy .

Yes, I could fit a bunch of my favorite programs all on a single disk as well.

    To answer the Thread question
    I have 10(6working) 512MB and largest 8GB

I went over to Ventoy as my USB sticks did brake do to re-burning them several times a week... So now i use Ventoy on an external disk 256GB SSD USB3.0 for all my ISO's.. and SSD wont brake so fast as an USB sticks by often copy newer ISO's on it. and it is an win-win as 256+ SSD is cheaper then an usb stick same size

Phooey - 1.4 MB floppy disks - new kida on the block. I remember 5.25" floppy disks (really floppy) and the single density, single sided version weighed in at 360 kilobytes.

There were also 8" floppy disks but not that common in early pc market, being more mainframe orientated.

Jeepers - most of you sprogs remember mainframes LOL.

My first home computer was a TRS 80 Model I. It had 84KB of RAM. When I upgraded it to use with floppy drives I had to buy two of them. Each one had a formatted capacity of 85KB. The first floppy drive was used to store the disk operating system because the 48KB of system RAM was not large enough for that.

8 inch floppy drives were used on many CP/M computers because the single-side single-density 8 inch floppy disk was considered the standard size for CP/M. This disk had a capacity of about 240KB. Later many people switched to 5-1/4 inch floppies but there wasn't one standard format for that.

I had both dual-drive 5-1/4 inch floppy and 8 inch floppy drives. I used them with both my TRS-80 and CP/M computers.

These capacities are many orders of magnitude less than drives used today. CPU user groups maintained libraries of files on 8 inch floppy disks created over years of effort. If you gather the entire contents of these collections they might fit on one 600MB CD.

    Maybe 20-odd or so
    - Macrium & AOMEI recovery boot USBs for 3 laptops + 4 desktops (7 devices, separate/dedicated USBs for each device, some contain specific drivers) = 14
    - {Win 10 & Win 11} installation x {GPT & MBR} x {Rufus & MCT} = 8
    - Linux Mint boot

No data thumb drives, too unstable/untrustworthy.

Now, as for external USB drives .... 1,2,3 TB .... lost count.
