Does a Ryzen 9 5950 need an AIO or is a dual fan EVO 212 good enough.
Pulled the trigger on a AMD Ryzen 9 5950X which should be delivered by the end of May. I have a Cooler Master EVO 212 dual fan heatsink fan combo. I do have an aversion to water cooling as an Electronics guy by trade it was never a good mix. I have a budget of up to $200 for a heatsink fan assembly. Do I need one? How hot is the chip? Currently have a 2700X CPU and it runs about 40C @ 4.2 Ghz idle and 78C @ 100% Prime 95 hammering. Please let me know what you think.
Thanks Tony.
