    Get printer back online


    Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e All-in-One Printer Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64)


    Wireless Network Printer shows offline and unable to get back online. Steps taken: Power cycled the modem and printer including unplugging. print cue is empty and printer offline unchecked. network setting OK on printer and computer, no help from the Print and Scan Doctor.

    Personally, I'd go to the HP support site & reinstall the complete printer software package.
    - I'd uninstall the existing software first but I can't remember, because I've only had to do it once, whether I had to run the uninstall myself or the new software package did it for me.

    Did P&SD say anything at all?

    The problem I just found out that the VPN I use just issued an update that caused the problem along with an email problem. They will be working on a fix for the printer problem.

    I don't use a VPN (right now). My HP 401 printer is on my LAN. Every so often it just goes offline. Nothing seems to fix this problem, not Windows reboots, not power cycles. I end up having to delete the printer and reinstall it.

    I would be happy to learn that I was doing things wrong.

    Sometimes it is better to install using the TCP/IP port instead of the standard WSD port.
