USB devices keep disconnecting for 20 seconds

In the last couple of months I've been having problems with my USB devices (including mouse and keyboard) temporarily disconnecting from my Windows 10 Pro machine (version 21H1, build 19043.1526). It happens every few hours. I first notice that the mouse and keyboard stop responding, then see a notification pop up saying that there was a problem with the last USB device connected, then if I wait for about 20 seconds everything returns to normal.
I've tried un-installing the USB controller from Device Manager and rebooting (to allow it to be re-installed). It hasn't resolved the problem.
There's nothing showing up in Event Viewer.
Any ideas for how I can diagnose/fix this?

What are Your system specs?

Usually if USB devices begin to disconnect and take a while to reconnect, it sounds like its a power issue with your system. It may not be the power supply itself, but there may be power management issues in the motherboards BIOS. Usually a BIOS update will solve the issue, if the USB issue is due to a wonky BIOS. AMD X570 and B550 chipset motherboards had this problem early on.

Also on newer motherboards, some USB ports are interfaced with the CPU, while others are interfaced with the chipset.

If a BIOS update doesn't fix the issue, then the issue may be the CPU or motherboard itself.

My system spec is:

• Aorus B450 AORUS ELITE
• AMD Ryzen 7 2700X Processor with Wraith Prism RGB LED Cooler
• ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER 6GB Twin Fan Graphics Card
• 32GB RAM
• Corsair Builder Series CX600 PSU
• Cooler Master Elite 330 case.

I'll see if there's a BIOS update available. (I'm currently running F62, from July 2021)
