AMD Ryzen high frequency problem

I started having this problem were the CPU frequency is always high instead of the stock 2.9 ghz no matter if i am doing intensive tasks or not. I tried changing power options to Silent or Windows, but is still reporting more than 2.9.

Temp is 47 C so is weird is low considering the high freq.

Windows 10 version 21H2 (OS build 19044.1469)

Normally you set the min and Max frequency at BIOS.
As you have a Gamer MB, it probably has some BIOS profiles and it may be set to a profile with min=Max.

See your documentation and look at the BIOS settings.

That's normal. Now if it gets up around 4.5Ghz... then you can start to worry.

You can also go into Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Change advanced power settings
...and set the Minimum processor state at 5%

Leave the Maximum processor state at 100%
