    Bluetooth turns off by itself

My bluetooth randomly disconnects. I ran the bluetooth troubleshooter with this result

    Attachment 356174

I don't know if this troubleshooting operation is going to fix my problem, but these images, from the bluetooth settings page with the corresponding action center tile, were taken after the troubleshooter did its work.

The action center tile confusingly blinks the different conditions back and forth by the second; connected/not connected. After a while, the tile stops blinking & stays in the not connected state, but the bluetooth settings page still shows the bluetooth is on.

    Attachment 356171

    Attachment 356172

    Attachment 356173

Are these symptoms familiar to anyone else?

This could be either a software related (driver) problem or something to do with your hardware.

If it has only recently started to be a problem, see if you have and can identify a recent restore point created when no issues existed, and consider rolling back to that.

First, though, if you use an external Bluetooth dongle, remove and clean it using just a soft, dry cloth. You can also breath on it first before using the cloth, but best not to risk using any other substances unless you know they won't cause any harm. That might fix it. If that doesn't work, try putting the dongle into a different USB socket. Sometimes, it can be that simple.

Bluetooth is, however, notorious for dropping on occasions.

One last thing to look at is the proximity of any other devices that may be causing interference. Anything new, for example?

Let us know if any of the above helps.

PS: It may also possibly be an issue with the device that you are trying to connect rather than your computer. Try disconnecting (forgetting) the connection and re-instituting it to see if that makes a difference. If the device you are having issues with is a mobile, try rebooting it.

Any of the above might help, with a computer restore point as the last resort since you will lose anything you value that has been saved since the restore point was created.
