Mouse buttons keep switching via MS account

I am left handed and have a dedicated hard-wired left handed mouse on my Win10 desktop PC. Everything is fine using the default right handed settings.

I also have a Lenovo laptop with the Lenovo wireless mouse, which by default is right handed.

If I enter Mouse settings on the Lenovo to change the primary mouse to the right button, i.e. left handed, I find the same has happened on the desktop.

    I suspect the Microsoft account.

How do I stop this happening?

I have the latest versions of Win10 on both computers.

It probably is the Sync between the 2 machines which would have to be discontinued to maintain different settings. I have 2 clients with the left-right issue but they don't use 2 computers. I don't use Sync as I have no SmartPhone and do use other computers.

Yes, it probably is the sync. The mouse settings which are sync'd seem to selective - the left handed cursors for example are not.

Are you suggesting I wholly disable sync'ing fir just one mouse setting?

Since I've never gotten involved with the Sync I can't say how specific it can be to stop just one thing.

If you select "Other Windows Settings" in SYNC, it contains your other settings of Windows like "Mouse", printers, File Explorer and more. So if you turn off this options sync to all those will be disabled.

    Cheers, I'll check that.

It's real pain turning on a PC and the mouse buttons are switched around, especially on a hardwired LH mouse which works with default RH settings.

Cheers, that seems to have done it. Many thanks! Happy New Year/Blwyddyn Newydd Dda!
