    Connecting Samsung A40 To A TV/Projector?

How do you connect this phone to a TV or projector? I bought a USB-C to HDMI cable. But no signal on a TV or projector?

    Thanks.

The feature may not be supported on the A40.

Yeah, it's what I'm thinking now.

Do I need a specific Samsung one for it to work?

The A40 does supposedly support HDMI connection to a TV - it may need a specific Cable adaptor ... It also supports screen Mirroring, this is of course dependent on the TV as well as the Phone having support

Not sure what to think lol. Unless only a specific Samsung cable/adapter will work.

Samsung are pushing the Wireless Mirroring, I believe they actually support Three formats, The did use a special cable in the early days but dropped that system a few years ago, moving to the standard HDMI method used by everyone else, there may be a setting that needs switching on, (on the Phone), to get things working - this would depend on the phone I'm on an S9+ so not sure about settings on the A10

Yeah. I unlocked the developer settings on my phone. I see no option anywhere though that says anything about mirroring etc. Usually, you should just plug in and all works by default. Unless there's an option I am missing and not seeing

Can you provide a link for that?

Not questioning you. I looked and failed to find one.

I haven't tried mirroring with my One Plus (android) phone, as I believe that my LG TV does not support that. I also haven't tried a USB-C to HDMI adapter.

I see no mention of the A40 there. Maybe all Samsung phones with USB-C ports support connection to a TV using an adapter, but I doubt that.
