Are all USB perpheral computer connections the same?

The attached image of the computer connection end of the following USB charging cords for: a Beats wireless earphone, Kindle reader and iPod Nano.

Absent cord length and logos, the business ends of all 3 appear to be identical and, I'm assuming, interchangeable if need be.

    Correct?

Those are A type plugs and could be USB 2 or USB 3.

The older USB 2 has 1 row of 4 pins. - These have Black plastic inside.

The newer USB 3 has 2 rows - 4 pins that are the same as USB 2 and 5 pins for USB 3. - These have Blue plastic inside.

The USB 2 connector on the PC only has 4 pins. - Also Black plastic,

The USB 3 connector on the PC has the 2 rows of pins and the controller will use USB 2 or USB3. - Also Blue Plastic.

This is the design for compatibility for USB 2 and USB 3 devices.

Check your ends on your cables and see if Black or Blue.

Remember, though, that not all devices charge equally. If you look on the "wall brick", you should see the DC (charging) voltage -- but this may differ from 2 to 9 VDC. That's why you should try to use the appropriate corresponding power supply for charging, and why peripherals using the USB port may charge at different rates.

    All black

<<<you should see the DC (charging) voltage
I suspect you're referring to a transformer and if so you're correct. These devices are all direct USB/computer ->device.
