How to retrieve unallocated on a thumb drive

    Hi,

I've got 32 GB unallocated space on my 64 GB thumbdrive. Don't ask me how that happened. I've tried Disk Manager to reclaim it, but no luck. Somebody told me Disk Manager hasn't got the functionallity to partition removeable disks. What I want is to repartition the drive to one single partition (64 GB) No need to back up data. What is there is junk. Does anybody know of a program that can do the job for me? Somebody suggested diskpart, but since it is dos/console program I'm a little jumpy about using it.

This sounds suspicious to me, try running H2testw
You may have a counterfeit item
Recently I've had 2 x 64Gb microSD cards and a 64Gb flash drive, all fake!
The microSD cards came form Amazon so you can't even rely on them (the other was eBay, need I say more?)
The cards/drives all report sizes as expected in Windows but are in fact much smaller, often just 8Gb
They're also vastly inferior and will often fail with 2-3 months
The Samsung SD cards which I bought (you can see I'm not even taking unbranded items here) did also have physical differences
A useful thread I found steered me to what to look for, I'd already run H2testw by this time but it did corroborate my findings
It's an appalling situation as neither Amazon or eBay seems to be the slightest bit bothered (I did report to both)
Likely don't want to affect their commissions no doubt, stuff the customers
    You have been warned!
