I found the culprit, the OSD (OnScreenDisplay) program was messing with my my keyboard.
Sorry to hear that.
Do you have EXACTLY the same issue as the OP had or is there a slight variation ?
Meanwhile, a troubleshooting suggestion:
Run a system file check to look for corrupt files. It will try to do repair if any is found.
Right click at Start button > click Command Prompt (Admin) > at the flashing prompt, copy/paste this.......
sfc /scannow
> press Enter.
It will take quite sometime.
When finished, it will give you one of the 3 reports...............(paraphrasing)
1. No integrity violation.
2. Found corrupt files and repair successful.
3. Found corrupt files but unable to repair.
Thank you very much, this seems working.
However it couldn't repair one file (C:\WINDOWS\SystemApps\Microsoft.Windows.ContentDeliveryManager_cw5n1h2txyewy\Experiences\LockScreen "\[l:20{10}]"experience") but the problem is gone now, the keyboard is working perfectly again.
I think my original problem was the same. I have two users on my computer. If a user signed out, or switched user, the keyboard stopped, so we couldn't write the password for sign in. Disconnecting and reconnecting the keyboard make it work again until the next sign out.
But it is perfect now, thank you very much again for your help!
I am not sure your problem has been completely eradicated.
If further complication arises, please post back.
But for now.....................you are welcome.
