    Hi,

I feel so stupid right now, I have managed to fix the printer connection, I tried your advice Simple about pinging the printer from the admin command prompt, and that came back fine, no problems there.

So got me thinking (a rare and dangerous thing), if the network was managing to find the printer there must be a program stopping it from installing here on my pc, I went through my programs and stopped any non essential programs that may be causing the errors.

I then retried Neomatter's advice and went into devices, add printer ect.. ect.. and it had no problems this time, loaded the printer up and connected, printed a test page and all seems well, I then restarted the pc thinking maybe it will stop working once other programs are started, but no, it is still found and shown as default printer :)

I just want to say a big thank you to all who helped me here, maybe I was just been plain thick, (and I should do things properly by disabling programs before installing anything) but all the advice has been helpful and I will remember some of this advice if there is a next time, so appreciate all your time guys.

Thank you Neomatter! I have a Kodak ESP 7250 that wouldn't connect after I upgraded to Windows 10. I followed your instructions and when I came to the list of manufacture companies, I selected "Eastman Kodak", then had to click on the "Windows Update" button to find my printer. After that, everything went smoothly. Thank you again!

Malk I'm encountering the same problem on my Windows 10 PC. Thanks for asking the questions so that I was able to find the solution. I will try it this weekend and let you know how things work.
