For some reason, I'm having trouble trying to get the drivers installed on an RX 550 properly. I've reinstalled the driver software multiple times and did it with multiple driver versions and it does not work. Unless the GPU isn't an RX 550 for whatever reason, I don't see the reason why this isn't working.

The card is on a system I built months ago but didn't set it up until today. I originally intended to use the system as a backup gaming system in case my main one didn't work. But recently, after firing up the 2013 HP Pavilion that my parents use in the kitchen, I realize how painfully slow it is and thought something needed to be done about.

I decided to replace it after considering I'd use my Acer Aspire 940MX laptop as a substitute gaming PC instead and considering my parents are on vacation in Germany at the moment, I thought now's a good time to do that. Getting Windows installed went through without problems but as soon as I installed the GPU drivers, I noticed a problem. Device driver states a yellow caution symbol for the card and opening up AMD settings gives a "No AMD graphics driver is installed" error.

To do a bit of research, I copied the hardware ID from device manager into Google and confirmed the card was a RX 550.

It's as follows: PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_699F&SUBSYS_8A901462&REV_C7

From where I bought the card you might be considering, it's from this selling listing on Newegg (currently out of stock): Refurbished: MSI Radeon RX 550 DirectX 12 RX 550 AERO ITX 4G OC Video Card - Newegg.com

Anyways, that's what I'm dealing with. Hope the problems are taken care of soon.
