    Business Cards Scanner

I'm not sure this is the right forum but the title does say "hardware".

I have a huge number of business cards in my collection. I would like to buy a business card scanner and I have found many advertised on the net. However, they all scan and save as jpg files, while what I actually want is a series of individual files in a folder which will allow me to search for a particular name, company, whatever; jpg would not allow me to do this. Example: If I include one of my own cards I wish to be able to search on my name, surname, address, website url, etc.

Can anyone give me some advice about this matter, please? Very grateful in advance.

It's a bit pricey for only business cards, but Neat Receipts (Small Business Expense and Spend Software | The Neat Company) indexes both the data and images of business cards in its database, with export to all major email programs. If, however, you would like to store your receipts for tax purposes, Neat works great & integrates with both Quicken & TurboTax.

Thank you all very much for your advice. This is the reason I love this forum so much: professional and friendly, a combination hard to find in the modern day. Tony.
