using logitech c310 mike for cortana

My camera works fine for every application but Cortana will not recognize it for it's mike.

I checked with Logitech for an updated driver and it appears there is none. Do I need to try another input device, or is there something I'm missing in the settings of our new best friend?

I posted this almost a week ago but have yet to see any response. Is that because nobody knows the answer, or because I didn't frame the question correctly.

I really hope that I can find a solution soon, because I am missing out on one of Windows 10's most exciting new features.
