I can hardly believe how uninformative these messages are! Which driver? Which application or hardware?

MS dropped the ball on this one for sure. How do I identify the offending driver?
Hi, is removed the gigabye Cloud app and the problem went away.

If you want to use the Gigabyte tools, then you may have to change compatibility to Windows 8 or 7 and check the Run as Administrator box. Any access restriction can cause errors.

Gigabyte crapware really is nasty stuff, it's the cause of many a BSOD and crash, particularly App Center and System Information Viewer. My advice would be to uninstall them completely and find alternative methods to accomplish what you use them for.
I have the same error for EasyTune 6 which controls my CPU fan speed, could you suggest an alterative program to do this?

Before finding alternative programs, try to run it in Windows 7 or 8 compatibility mode with Administrator rights. It may work.

[QUOTE=James Callan;310115]I have several of these messages every time I start W10.
    QUOTE]
Just installed Win 10 on top of 8.1. Came up with the same message repeated several times. Eventually I found that if I ran the 'Gigabyte App Centre", which produced a pop up menu on the right hand side of the screen, and chose the bottom item "Live Update" this checked for updates, came up with about 10 updates, selected them all and updated the system. Rebooted and the messages disappeared. I assume I have got it!

    Good luck

I had loads of these messages and a really unstable version of Windows 10 that kept crashing out, whenever I saved an Office file, loaded Excel ...
It all seems to have gone away after I followed advice from Windows 10 - Weird Pop-up: : techsupport
Specifically: "If you go to your App Center, and open the Cloud Station Server, you get a screen with 5 tabs at the bottom. The first three of those tabs (Home Cloud, GIGABYTE Remote, and Remote OC) have a switch labeled "Always run on next reboot." Turn all of those switches off, and reboot. When I did this, I no longer saw the "This driver can't release to failure" message."
And I, too, lost the "This driver can't release to failure" messages and seem to have lost all my instability of Windows 10.
I hope this helps other people searching for an answer to this annoying problem.
