CPU Not Supported for windows 10 ?!

    My CPU - Intel C2D T6600


    I have similar issue. On trying win 10 upgrade both online & MSDN dvd says, CPU not supported for window 10.

    Current Spec :
    Intel C2D Mobile T6600 2.2 Ghz
    RAM : 3GB
    Mobo : HP Pavilion DV4 Notebook
    Chipset : GM45
    BIOS : Insyde
    OS : Win7 Home Prem SP1 (x86)

    I checked Virtualization is not supported by this processor.
    Also checked, nothing except time & boot selection modifiable in bios.

    Pl help me.

    Sorry, but I don't think anyone can help you here. This CPU is 5 years old. Maybe a fresh install could work but then again, you would need a key in order to activate Windows 10. But I would not recommend to try this.

    First, make sure your BIOS is updated to the latest version. That may fix your issue. If not read on.

    If updating the BIOS doesn't fix your issue then reset all BIOS settings to their defaults and try again.

    I recommend trying to install Windows 8.1 and see if you get the same error, if you don't then you should be able to upgrade to windows 10.
