How to Set Custom Resolution OR How to Install Incompatible Drivers ?

I am running Compaq R201b 20" with screen resolution supporting upto 1600x900 (which is best for it.) I recently updated my Windows from Windows 7 To Windows 10. But My Graphic card which came inbuilt i.e Intel 865g doesnt support the OS (even it was not supporting windows 7 but I changed the compatibility By Properties and made it run.)
I want same in windows 10 but it is not working. So please someone suggest any method.
Even if it can't be installed it doesn't matter. But I want my screen resolution to be 1600x900. So please tell how to make custom resolution.
    Thanks in Advance.

That worked in Windows 7 because it used an XPDM driver. The first Intel chip to support WDDM drivers was the 945 -- yours is considerably older than that. The Intel chips prior to the 945 used the XPDM drivers -- I have a PC with an Intel 915 and it uses the XPDM driver.

XPDM drivers are not supported in Windows 8 and newer. MS actually removed the code to support those drivers.

There is nothing you can do to change this.
