    Hey Cliff,

many thanks for your kind offer in the other thread!
I do NOT like Aerolite. I only need the basic Windows Theme modified to have black title bar text and control elements (Minimize, Maximize, Close) if possible. The title bar itself should be colored to blue (RGB 24 131 215).
For inactive windows, I would like to keep the blue title bar color and have the text color changed to some sort of grey.

Since Windows 1511 the text color always changes to white if choosing colored title bars, that is my whole problem...

If you need to know something else let me know. And again, many thanks for your kind offer and your help!!

I'm working on it, but it may be a day or two, If you read the above after your post, you see 10586 has changed something. My old themes have even changed a bit.

Right now if you download, unblock in properties, extract and double click to apply BOTH of these reg files(one is control panel colors & the other is desktop colors) you can see where I'm at, and maybe play around with the RGBs too.
Here is a good place to check your colors: RGB color (255, 128, 0) to Hex, Pantone, RAL, HSL, HSV, HSB, JSON. Get color scheme.
And here to pick them: Color Table

Here are the two reg files:

    Aero CP colors.zip
    Aero Desktop colors.zip

Thanks so much for your work! Take all the time it needs, of course. No hurry!! I'll take a look at the reg files you attached in the meantime

You're welcome, you and @OldMike65 have brought to attention that "Something" has changed in the latest build. Now it's time to see if it's possible to "fix" or not.

Sticking point is File Explorer. The other windows have black text when active, faded black(gray) when inactive.

    Active Window Title Test Color

    @geheim @Brink @Edwin @OldMike65

Ok, I've done some mucking and shucking around in the registry to little avail.

I then just started playing around with the accent colors in Settings/Personalization/Colors(I turned off automatic and simply picked the colors myself), because I noticed, some themes have black title text on all title bars(active windows), and some have white text on File Explorer no matter if RGB is set to 0 0 0, and all other title bars will have black text.

It seems only yellow based colors and orange colors keep the black text.

I'm beginning to believe this is because black shows up best on yellow(it does really)

The reason that it's only File Explorer(as far as I know/noticed), I would guess, is because File Explorer does not have a static title like the other windows. Just click down the Navigation Pane and you'll see what I mean.

Here are some screenshots to show what I mean. All the same (theme) just different accent colors:

Maybe if @Hopachi (Horace) sees this mention, he can give us some valuable input, being he's more experienced at this stuff than I am.:)

Just so you know Cliff, I am reading these posts with a lot of interest. All I was trying to do was just change the titles in my top menu bars to the gold color, the background on my title bars are some shade of brown. What I end up with is all the title bars are brown, but the only one with gold description of that title bar (if that's what its called) that is gold is the explorer menu, as I reported weeks ago. The Inactive title in the registry right under the active title, does nothing, no change at all. Both these options are in SAME place in registry. Which, are in a completely different location, then Brinks new tutorial on same subject.
Which make me just a tad more confused, but, I'm use to that. lol. You guys are the experts on this stuff. But I am reading, and trying to keep up with you guys. I've seen a lot of your works on all the custom themes you guys are putting out, VERY impressive work!!! Of course some of them are too far out in space for what I'm wanting to do. :) But I'm paying attention, way in the back....lol Mike....

Where is the color value in the registry for the default Windows theme? I want the default theme but with the color for this= rgb(140, 160, 181); which is the classic rainy day color.
