    How to change drive icons/Win 10 Home


    How do you change drive icons in Win 10 Home?

    I tried resolution in Seven Forums, but that didn't work for Win 10 Home.

    Any help out there? Thanks, Jim

    You need a program such as reshacker or Restorator so that you can edit or replace the drive icon images in the imageres.dll file in your C:\WINDOWS\system32 folder

    IF your comfortable with a little registry hacking, try option 3 in this link....

    Here's what I have.. imageres.dll mods by a program using an icon library- Icon Changer

Can you change the drive icons in Win 10? I did this in Win 8.1. In regedit -HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURENTVERSION\EXPLORER, it won't let me type DriveIcons. 56347
