different lock screen and sign in screen?

In 1607, the lock screen can be shown on the sign in screen. If disabled, it shows a solid color. Is there a way I can use Spotlight for my lock screen and set the Hero image as my sign in screen background?

(Note- there are different lock screens - after restart, after sleep, and if you lock the PC. The first can't be disabled, the second can, and the new Cortana on lock screen only applies to the last). The above applies to the last.

that does not change the login screen. I want to use Spotlight as my lock screen image but when I type in my password I want a different image (the sign in screen).

What doesn't? There are two different instructions there for two different things. To which of those are you referring?

Step 2b is labeled as Change the Login Screen Image, but the steps show you how to change the Lock Screen image. Step 2a is irrelevant. It only tells you how to change the desktop background.

    What I want to do:
Set Spotlight as the LOCK Screen Image(s) - Done
Set the Win 10 Hero Image as the SIGN IN Screen Image - This is the one that shows after you click on the lock screen and you are able to type your password. If I uncheck "Show Lock Screen Image on Sign In Screen", it shows a solid blue background behind my Password box and user image. This is what I want to change to the Hero Image....

    Hello dacrone, :)

You might see it the option in the tutorial below may help. It'll help show you how to change the sign-in screen background to be different than the lock screen.

    Brink,

Thank you for the option. I have already tried this though and cannot get it to work. I have run it as an Admin, Normally and in Compat mode. Every time I browse and choose an image it comes back with an error and needs to close. The newest version I see on the site is from May 16 and I am running v1607. Any thoughts?
