I have just discovered my tablet does not go to the lockscreen on coming out of sleep if using a local account. Worth a try?

I am using a local account without a password and it still shows me the lock screen on resume. Annoying as it is literally pointless with no password as I just have to hit enter to sign in! Really hope somebody works out how to disable it.

I've only seen that report from tablet users. For desktop, I haven't seen anything yet that works.

MS has now prevented users from disabling it as part of normal logon. It is possible to disable it as part of the Lock sequence, however, if you search the net.

Winaero's tweak tool helps with this.

    However see this thread:

    Win + R
    "netplwiz"
UNCHECK "Users must enter a name and password to use this PC"
    Hit OK
It will prompt to enter your current password for your user account. Put it in twice.
    Apply/OK
    Reboot.

This does not disable lock screen... And further more, I/we don't want to disable password entering at log-on screen.

A web search suggests a workaround. Read to the end.
The case for disabling the lock screen for resuming from sleep etc is different to that for the lock screen after a restart.
What I posted above, as I said, deals with the former.

How to Disable the Lock Screen in Windows 10 Anniversary Update (1607)? Winhelponline

Let us know if it works if you decide to try it.

You could do away with the Lock Screen, Login Screen and all the graphical fluff and switch to "Console Mode":
