get the app " spotbright" on windows store and it be piece of cake to save your lockscreen pics :)

seems you didn't bother ( or notice ) my post before yours .....
Hi, was wondering how you managed to get a frosted glass aero type theme? I haven't seen one of them anywhere for Windows 10.

edit: this method worked for me to get some lockscreen pics after moving and renaming them with command prompt (as administrator, though not sure if that's required or not).

However, I did not find the one I was looking for that that they have shown me on a few occasions, the one with purple flowers overlooking a river with mountains in the distance.

Got em all via the personalization route, changing to picture, slideshow, then back to windows spotlight and doing it multiple times having to close the app a couple to get the pic to change, I also went to my lock screen a few times to see if it would change pictures and add new ones to the assets folder, and it did. Trial and error but I now have many nice pictures now and most of the ones I was looking for. Great advice on these forums.

Thanks for sharing. This would be better if it let you just download the current lockscreen or choose from the previous lockscreens which one you want to download. It made me download the last 300 lockscreen images which amounted to over 300mb at once. Kinda inconvenient if I have to download all of this every time I just want the current lockscreen.
