No problem. Perhaps I am not a photographer and with a naked eyes, I think it is acceptable for a wallpaper unless you magnify it very large then you'll see noise.

Hi with photoshop you can see if Save for web does a better job ?
Keith uses it and it does loose some quality but not much,
I usually just turn down the save quality a bit so they just go under 999kg but jpeg's should be okay :/
Although png or gif might give them a little more clarity as Chuck said
Resizing from 24mg is a bugger though :/

Reminds me of helping a client when his camera memory card filled up too fast. Turned out he had set the camera to save as both .jpg and .raw formats, .raw saved at 20MB+ while the same image as .jpg was about 3.5MB. Since he didn't need the capability of printing upwards of 11"x17" and larger he chose to not save as .raw.Resizing from 24mg is a bugger though :/
