    Changing background color of taskbar


    New windows 10 installation; background color of taskbar is ugly black, and can't figure out how to change it. Any suggestions?

    Hello Eddie, :)

    You can turn on Show color on Start, taskbar, and action center to have your selected color show on the taskbar as well.

    Partially solved


    We'll call it solved; however, the only way I could get the results I wanted was to use the high-contrast mode, making everything white, and then changing the background color to blue. Now the password boxes & etc. are invisible, so I have to change that so I can see what I am doing.

    PS: My bad manners are showing! Many thanks to Brink for timely and helpful comments.

Is it possible to change the background color in Word? Not the color of the document itself but the color of the screen that surrounds it. I seem to recall this was possible in Word 2010, but I can't seem to figure out how to do this -- if at all --...
In an old thread this question was asked and the response labeled "partially solved". I disagree; the advice given (to go to "personalization" and turn "show color on Start, Task bar, action center and title bar" to "on" and pick a color) does not...
Good Afternoon, I have moved from FreeBSD to Win 10. The glaring white of the aforementioned objects is really painful to my old eyes. I cannot find references on Google about how to change this. I found one post that alleges this obnoxious color...
